K4 | Step Down (BOSU)

K4 | Step Down (BOSU)

INSTRUCTION VIDEO

Advancing the step down not with weights but with a BOSU helps challenge balance, core stability and knee/hip strength. By involving the BOSU, core has to stay switched on in order to keep you stable and glutes have to remain switched on to prevent you from rolling in at the knee. An excellent late-stage rehab exercise for ankles, knees and hip strengthening.

Instructions

Set BOSU on stable surface and stand on with one foot in the middle of the BOSU. Knees should be slightly bent. Slowly step one foot off the back of the BOSU as though you are stepping off but just tap toe on ground and then stand back onto the BOSU.

Special Notes
Don't let you pelvis drop or knee roll in
