K4 | Running Side Steps

K4 | Running Side Steps

INSTRUCTION VIDEO

This exercise is designed to improve the knees ability to control a lateral landing. When side stepping, the abductor and adductor muscles along with the hamstrings and quads have to work in synchronisation to control and place each step. This is particularly useful in sports or activities which involve landing or side stepping.

Instructions

You will need a clear 10 metre space. Starting at one side of the room, side step to the other side and then back. Repeat 5 times in each direction. Keep your foot facing forward and not pointed outwards.
