K4 | BOSU Side Jumps

K4 | BOSU Side Jumps

INSTRUCTION VIDEO

Dynamic exercises such as BOSU side jumps are used to train good hip, knee and glute control by challenging them under load and onto an unsteady surface. The use of a BOSU in this exercise also means the core has to be switched on to keep you steady. It is useful for late stage ACL rehab, knee surgery rehab, and for training those with poor knee or hip control.

Instructions

Stand with knees slightly bent, feet hip width apart, side on to the BOSU. Aim to jump not onto the top of the BOSU and not onto the side but somewhere in between. Land with a bent knee and 'stick' the jump, making sure you do not allow ankle to roll or knee to roll in trying to control your landing. Start close and then move further away as you get better.
