L4 - Plank to Side Plank (Feet)


To teach correct simultaneous rotation through the shoulders and hips whilst keeping the core stiff and in neutral and prevent twisting through the spine whilst under load.

Demonstration and Instructions






Assume the front plank position. Brace the core and breath out, moving the elbow and the same hip together away from the floor. Don't let the shoulder or hip move first, then must move together to stop twisting through the spine. Rotate up to 90 degrees into the side plank position and then rotate back in a 'block' or 'log' to the front plank position. Repeat on the same side or try alternating sides. 3 x 10
