PROFESSIONAL PROFILEHe graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2012, and then went on to complete his Master of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from UniSA in 2014. He worked in a private practice for 2 years in Adelaide, and worked as a team Physio in amateur Australian Football and Rugby Union before moving to London in 2015, where he worked at a specialty musculoskeletal clinic until 2017. Whilst in London Joe completed his NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification. Joe then returned to Adelaide and worked in a specialist sports medicine clinic until 2018. He then moved to Beijing, China to work as a sports physio with Team China and the Chinese Olympic Committee, where he worked with multiple Olympic gold medallists and world champions from numerous sports. Joe then moved to Sydney in 2020 to pursue an opportunity as Head Physiotherapist with Sydney University, Competing in the North East Australian Football League, the premier state league for New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory. Whilst in Sydney Joe completed his ASCA Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Accreditation and had his research on hamstring injury prevention published in the Australian Journal of Strength and Conditioning. During his career he has undertaken an extensive amount of professional development.
Joe is both a Titled Sports and Musculoskeletal Physio, as awarded by the Australian Physiotherapy Association in 2017. Joe became the Senior Sports Physio here at Physio Fitness in mid-2020.
